and hippopotamuses like me too

I'm home! We had a delightful Christmas in which I did not eat a vegetable for three straight days (not by choice), everyone loved their gifts, I didn't fight with my brother once, and Addison and Drew still love me. *beams*

The kids, of course, are the best part of my holiday, always. When we got there, I was the first person Drew saw in the driveway and he shouted "WENDY" and literally launched himself at me with total faith that I'd catch him. Which I did. And then, I held on tight for a long time. Addison is my buddy and wanted to sit by me everywhere we went. I loved it! Both kids still wanted to be held and hugged and tickled. (Drew even figured out that he could tickle me back. Unacceptable!!)

My brother's family has a teeny chihuahua named Chica. This is the first time I've met her and she's adorable. Feisty, as you'd have to be to survive in that house, but also sweet and loves to just burrow down in your lap and sleep for as long as you'll be still. So adorable.

It was exactly the snuggle-filled Christmas I wanted with Drew and Addison, and I'm really grateful for it.

Andy and April are leaving Friday to go on a trip to the Dominican Republic, and my parents are keeping Addison and Drew for nine days! So, I'll get more snuggle time in yet, wait and see!
