Every time I see one of those "I pledge to not shop on the day after Thanksgiving" posts on Facebook, I get furious. Yes there are many people forced to work who would like to be home with their families. But there also are many (MANY) people who depend on that income to live and if they don't work, they don't get paid. I have straight up been there and it is not a good place, and being denied a day's pay is NOT a gift.
Here are my goals for today:
Mouse guy is coming back at noon.
Visit Ulta to look for a gift for my sis-in-law. (I'm thinking Philosophy body wash..???)
Pick up the house.
Eat a vegetable.
Figure out what to pack for lunch between now and Thanksgiving.
Go through purchased Christmas gifts and figure out what the heck I actually already have.
Watch last week's SPN.
Read at least one Big Bang.
Take Max for a very short walk.
Put away all my washed laundry.
Put the trash and recycling out for pick up.
Drop off two packages that need to be mailed. (Returns, don't get excited!)
Look at these amaaaaazing monster hoodies! Oh, if only I had an extra hundred bucks lying around...I'd totally buy them for Addison and Drew in a heartbeat! Alas.
Well, my tea is cold and I still need to put on pants before the mouse guy comes (again) (that's what he said) (I'm so sorry, had to be said). Later gators!
