I'm talking about these things because they were important reminders to me that words matter. Especially positive words. Kind words. Supportive words.
These people were nice to me and now I want to be nice to other people, who hopefully in turn, will be nice to more people and...you're getting the ripple effect picture.

Here are some more things that inspire me today:
"The adventure you are ready for is the one you get. You only live once, go for it!"
--Jeff Probst paraphrasing Joseph Campbell
"The best thing to hold onto in life is each other."
--Audrey Hepburn
Below the cut is a story I pulled out of People magazine. (It's a large image, so you can read the text.) It's about a nine-year-old boy and a 71-year-old man, both of who lost their leg in unrelated, tragic accidents. Bill became this amazing support to Jake, even though they started as strangers, and the two have sort of worked to inspire each other through trying to cope with having prosthetic limbs.
This is my favorite quote from the article:
"Bill supports me -- he's my friend," Jake says. Adds Bill: "Jake's spirit amazes me. I just love this boy."

I'm gonna work hard to make this an amazing Monday -- I hope you will too. Hugs for the world!
