Everlost by Neal Shusterman is one of the best books I've read in a very long time. If you are into world building at all, you must read this. The premise is a bit complicated to explain (but makes sense in context) so I'm not going to. Besides, if I wrote for ten days I wouldn't be able to accurately capture how much I enjoyed this book. It's fresh, unique, has amazingly complex storylines, deals with touchy subjects in an amusing way, and walks a line between good and evil so that you're never quite sure which is which. It also does this really cool thing (over and over) where some detail that you think is insignificant comes back in a major way. It's very cool storytelling.
The sequel is called Everwild. I'll finish listening to the audiobook today and it is just as good. The only thing I don't like about these books is that the final part of the trilogy isn't out yet. AHHHH! I need it!!
And now, I have to go get dressed. What I need are pics of Sam and Jared to look at in order to ease me through the trauma of working on a Sunday. Will you show me?
