Last week I got to go out to the local Nature Center and Wildlife Preserve, which I've never been to before. Everyone kept telling me how far away it was, but it turned out to be about 20 minutes from my house. (Which, is closer than work is to my house, just saying.)
I got lost and was late and had to be somewhere else, so I didn't get to spend much time. But I'll definitely go back, it was GORGEOUS. I was there looking for a spot to place a geocache, but I also was in work clothes, so I was trying to stick close to the roads. At one point, I heard a rustling, looked up, and not three feet away from me was a deer. She was keeping a close eye on me but didn't run. I moved around a little taking some pics and getting the coordinates. We probably stayed right there by each other for about 60 full seconds. Then, I accidently stepped on a twig and scared her. Alas. It was really neat. I haven't had a nature moment in a very long time!
Still have not seen Thor. Dang.
And now, to work.
