The Teen Book Festival was AWESOME. When I was in Dallas for the SPN con, I read a book called "Me, Earl and the Dying Girl" by Jesse Andrews. It was really good. And, by pure coincidence, Jesse Andrews was there to speak! I lovelovelove when I think I've found some hidden gem of a book but then everyone knows about it and loves it. This happens to me all the time y'all. Also especially awesome was John Corey Whaley (author of "Where Things Come Back"). I haven't managed to read his book yet, but will be starting immediately. He was freaking adorable! And, they announced that all the copies of Quarantine by Lex Thomas sold out, which makes me verrry happy because that book really IS a hidden gem and I think more people should read it.
*exhale* I tweeted the whole day at @wendylibrarian, if you are dying to see my every thought.
This week at work is going to be extra nuts. Yay? I will be glad when it's November. Work will be stressful then too, but at least it will be stressful with only one boss.
Also. wincon. *flails* It's happening so soon! I just put up the registration volunteer post this morning, so go check that out if you're interested, please.
Does this entry seem as scattered to you as it does to me?!?!
